The Golfer opened its doors in 1996, when it became the very first golfing fashion venue in Harrogate. The founder, Nick Markham, created a relaxing boutique that still surpasses many people’s expectations of Golfing fashion. His experiences on the golf course helped him to realise a real need within the stylish culture that surrounds the game of golf.
The golf course provides an ideal social environment for both men and women, it’s a ‘lifestyle’ venue that allows people of differing personalities to meet, relax and compete. Nick wanted to clothe this culture with expressive, personality-defining designs.
His idea was to create a unique fashion boutique that catered for both men and women, providing up-to-the-minute exclusive designer-wear that could be displayed off the golf course, as well as on. These refined collections offered ultimate comfort and quality, propelling the discerning golfer into a class of their own.
